Flows

What to automate first?

The best start is not the biggest task but the one that fits best. Four questions help you choose.

Many teams start with their most ambitious project and lose momentum after a few weeks. A better start is a small task that comes up often and whose result is easy to check.

The four questions

  1. Does the task come up at least once a week? Rare tasks are rarely worth the effort.
  2. Does it usually follow the same steps? If you can describe the steps in five sentences, it is a good candidate.
  3. Can the result be checked quickly? A draft that a person can read in a minute is ideal.
  4. Can you live with a mistake? Start where an error is annoying but not expensive.

Good first candidates

  • Classifying and summarising incoming enquiries
  • Turning meeting notes into minutes with tasks
  • Reading certain web pages every morning and reporting what is new

Start small, measure carefully

Build the flow, let it run for two weeks and check every result. The runs in KI.ordo show you the input, the result and every step. Only when this works reliably is it worth building the next flow.

For many of these tasks, KI.ordo has ready-made templates that you can adopt with one click and adjust.
